Standing with flood-hit communities in Yen Bai

About the campaign

The campaign was launched to bring timely help to families, students and teachers hit hard by Typhoon Yagi and the flooding in Yen Bai. In the emergency phase it concentrated on raising cash, rice, drinking water, instant noodles, milk, medicine, flashlights, clothing, school supplies and other essentials so that people could steady their daily lives.

For the schools affected, the campaign gave priority to textbooks, learning materials and the items students needed to return to class.

In the longer term, the programme hopes to help families work through the aftermath of the disaster, rebuild their lives and recover their spirits after such losses. It is also an occasion to bring kind hearts together and to strengthen mutual support and community responsibility in difficult times.
